This slogan “Crip Time” was adopted by disabled people in the UK.
“Crip Time” refers to the flexible and non- linear experience of time for many disabled individuals, acknowledging that conventional timeframes often don’t accommodate the realities of living with a disability. It challenges societal expectations of productivity and punctuality, advocating for a more inclusive understanding of time. Over the years, Zoe and Barbara Lisicki have come to understand each other’s different ways of engaging with ‘normality’.
